Welcome to Reaching Out Each Month 😀

The goal of this site is simple: To help you reach out to fellow Jews who are less connected Jewishly—so that, one by one, our distanced brothers and sisters can reconnect with the beauty of our heritage. Together, we can grow into a stronger, more united people—connected to each other and to Hashem.

Why should I reach out?

There are many answers to this question. Here are a few:

1) It is hard to conceive of a larger kindness than helping a brother or sister have a more meaningful life in this world and build a wonderful eternity.

2) It is hard to conceive of a larger kindness to Hashem than help one of His sons or daughter come home.

3) There are numerous mitzvahs that direct us to actively reach out to our brothers and sisters. A few of these are: … . More a larger list please check out the article XXXX.

4) We have had a long exile. The only long term solution is to unite as a people and come back to Hashem. 

What can I do?

For a fuller discussion of this topic, please check out this article. But to start off with, here are some easy, meaningful ways to reach out:

• Just simply get to know a co-worker, neighbour, someone you’ve recently met. For example, go out for coffee or a meal.

• Invite a co-worker, neighbour, someone you’ve met to a Shabbos meal or Yom Tov meal.

• Invite someone to a fun shiur

• Offer to learn together—just one-on-one, no pressure

• Tell  them about one of the awesome free programs that set people up with a hand chosen 1 on 1 learning partner to learn whatever they want whenever they want. More details HERE.

• Drop off homemade challahs or cookies before Shabbos

You don’t have to do everything — the goal here is to commit to make just one small effort, once a month.
